Learn to help nervous flyers with hypnotherapy

With Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) in Edinburgh, you can learn many skills including helping people with their fear of flying.  Summer is a time when many of us dream of that holiday and jetting off somewhere hot and sunny – but for a significant number of people, the idea of getting onto a plane can make them feel a little nervous to say the least.

On the course, you will learn through Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, tried and tested techniques that can help someone overcome their “fear response” which can make people feel tense and uneasy as they approach an airport or as they board a plane.

“For some people then the idea of flying can make them uncomfortable,” says David, Senior Lecturer at CPHT Edinburgh. “Part of the training is to teach you how to work with a client, normally over a period of four sessions, to help them be able to approach the idea of flying in a calm, confident and relaxed manner, this is what you will learn.”

The full course contents can be found within the website https://cphtedinburgh.co.uk/ including how to work with specific phobias, such as flying and how the process of hypnotherapy can help the client overcome their difficulties.

Further sessions use hypnosis to ease the mind into a relaxed and calm state before the therapist works with the client to help them overcome their fear and aid them in being able to look forward to the flight itself.

“We have found that people often come to us feeling nervous about the idea of flying but, following the sessions, can go off on holiday and find that they can actually relax and enjoy the experience of being on a plane!”

When you train within Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, you quickly understand how it can help in other areas of life, from improving confidence to reducing stress, aiding sleep and weight management through to helping someone quit smoking.
