Senior Lecturers

Your Senior Lecturers at CPHT Scotland are Alex Brounger and Anne Wyatt.

Not only do Alex and Anne have extensive experience in building and running busy Hypnotherapy Practices, they also have a broad experience in training and lecturing both in the field of Hypnotherapy and outside it.  They fully understand that the brain learns so much better when we are having fun and their courses reflect that.

We look forward to chatting with you.

Alex Brounger

Clinical Hypnotherapist, Supervisor & Senior Lecturer

Following a successful career in Learning & Development Alex Brounger became a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist in 2011. He trained with David Newton at CPHT Bristol. He became a full time Clinical Hypnotherapist in May 2012. He has been running two busy practices in Stroud and Cirencester, in Gloucestershire, ever since.

Wanting to help other people enjoy the career he has enjoyed so much Alex became a Hypnotherapy Supervisor in 2015 and is now Supervisor for Hypnotherapists across the world. This desire to support other’s in their career’s also led him to accepting the role as CEO of the AfSFH between 2016 and 2018.

Drawing on his past Learning & Development experience Alex became a Senior Lecturer at CPHT Belfast in 2016 and has been running a course a year there since.

Anne Wyatt

DHP, HPD, MA (Hons) MNCH, SFBT Sup (Hyp).

Clinical Hypnotherapist, Supervisor & Senior Lecturer

Anne Wyatt trained as a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist at the Clifton Practice in Plymouth before moving north to Aberdeenshire and opening a Practice in Banchory.  She has gone on to qualify as a Supervisor and provides support to both newly qualified and experienced Hypnotherapists across the country.  Alongside her thriving Practice, Anne is also delighted to be able to pass on the Clifton Practice teachings to others in her role as Senior Lecturer at both CPHT Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Anne previously worked in the NHS as a Speech and Language Therapist, specialising in children and young adults who stammer as well as providing the training role for the service.  This saw her guest lecture at University level as well as providing further training to fellow colleagues and other professionals including teachers and school nurses.

To CPHT Edinburgh therefore, Anne brings a passion and enthusiasm about teaching and working with both students and clients that is clear to see.  She brings a vast experience of lecturing, mentoring and supervising as well as an in-depth and ongoing understanding of working with clients in a busy Practice.  Anne also brings her personal experience of transitioning from a lengthy career of employment to one of self-employment with the added challenge of starting afresh in a new part of the world from where she had trained.

When not working, Anne lives with her partner Paul and their cats Iona and Jura.  She is a keen flute and piccolo player and when time allows enjoys making things from fused glass.  Anne jokes, well half jokes at least, that she decided to book in a midlife crisis in 2017 and being a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist, obviously opted for a fun one.  She therefore now takes great pleasure from riding to work and exploring Scotland on her Yamaha Virago trike, much to the amusement of many clients!
